MCMA
TOP PERFORMING CHARTER SCHOOL
The scores for the 2010 MEAP test made us the top
performing district in Macomb County, the second highest district in
the state, and the second highest charter school in the state! Our proficiencies were well above state
averages. We are so proud of our students, staff, and parents. Our
collaborative efforts made this possible. See the announcement and results here.
MCMA EARNS
SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE STATUS
Michigan’s recently enacted Schools of Excellence law recognizes high performing charter schools. MCMA is designated as one of the top ten high-performing K-8 charter schools. This honor was earned by having a three-year average proficiency rate of at least 90% in reading and math in the MEAP tests. According to The Center for Charter Schools, “Earning the designation of a School of Excellence will put a charter public school in an elite class, which will help in attracting and retaining students and staff, and could also help bolster the school’s base of support within the community.” We are excited to receive acknowledgment for the hard work accomplished by our students, staff, parents, community members, and administration. Thank you for all your support!
