Mt. Clemens Montessori is dedicated to offering students the highest quality primary level education through a program which cultivates the child's own natural desire to learn.
We are committed to consistency and continuity which are the most important element in a child's growth and development.
We are dedicated to the extraordinary personal and academic advancement of our students.
Mt. Clemens Montessori is dedicated to holding its staff and students to a higher standard.

"It is necessary for the teacher to guide the child without letting him feel her presence too much, so that she may always be ready to supply the desired help, but may never be the obstacle between the child and his experience."

Congratulations to our school for being named a “Reward School” by the Michigan Department of Education.  MTCMA is ranked Eighth out of 144 Elementary Schools in the Macomb County Top-To-Bottom list!  Furthermore, our amazing performance places us in the Eighty-Eighth (88%) percentile in Elementary Schools in the entire State of Michigan.  Our overall school status on the Scorecard is “Lime.”  This report is based on “school compliance, assessment participation, and assessment performance requirements,” according to MDE.  This accolade is not the result of MTCMA “teaching to the test”, but is a testament to the comprehensiveness of our Montessori curriculum.  Our Montessori curriculum educates the whole child in a way that emphasizes critical thinking and meets the needs of each individual child.  Congratulations to all our students, parents, and staff on this accomplishment!

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad Team and Coaches! They came in 8th place (out of 30 teams!) in the South Macomb District Tournament. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication. We look forward to the upcoming County Tournament on April 23rd.

Michigan's recently enacted Schools of Excellence law recognizes high performing charter schools. MCMA is designated as one of the top ten high-performing K-8 charter schools. This honor was earned by having a three-year average proficiency rate of at least 90% in reading and math in the MEAP tests. According to The Center for Charter Schools, "Earning the designation of a School of Excellence will put a charter public school in an elite class, which will help in attracting and retaining students and staff, and could also help bolster the school's base of support within the community". We are excited to receive acknowledgment for the hard work accomplished by our students, staff, parents, community members, and administration. Thank you for all your support!
