WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHOW YOU AROUND!

OUR MISSION

Our students are our #1 priority.  We listen to their needs, then teach them to achieve them.
Mt. Clemens Montessori is dedicated to offering students the highest quality primary level education through a program which cultivates the child's own natural desire to learn.
We are committed to consistency and continuity which are the most important element in a child's growth and development.
We are dedicated to the extraordinary personal and academic advancement of our students.
Mt. Clemens Montessori is dedicated to holding its staff and students to a higher standard.

"It is necessary for the teacher to guide the child without letting him feel her presence too much, so that she may always be ready to supply the desired help, but may never be the obstacle between the child and his experience."

- Dr. Maria Montessori

MCMA TOPS IN MACOMB COUNTY FOR READING, WRITING, AND SCIENCE!

MCMA 4th Grade students scored as the top district in Macomb County for reading! The proficiency score for our 5th Grade also resulted in MCMA scoring as the top district in Macomb County for science. In addition, our 4th Grade writing scores places us as the top district in Macomb County. Our students continue to show their outstanding performances on the MEAP tests. Our proficiencies were above the state and county levels for all tested MEAP scores. We are so proud of our students, staff, and parents. All of our collaborative efforts made this accomplishment possible.

MCMA EARNS SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE STATUS

Michigan's recently enacted Schools of Excellence law recognizes high performing charter schools. MCMA is designated as one of the top ten high-performing K-8 charter schools. This honor was earned by having a three-year average proficiency rate of at least 90% in reading and math in the MEAP tests. According to The Center for Charter Schools, "Earning the designation of a School of Excellence will put a charter public school in an elite class, which will help in attracting and retaining students and staff, and could also help bolster the school's base of support within the community". We are excited to receive acknowledgment for the hard work accomplished by our students, staff, parents, community members, and administration. Thank you for all your support!

HEATHLY EATING CHALLENGE SHOWCASE

MCMA is proud to have participated in the "Building Healthy Communites" grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Our school communities has benefited in so many ways. The grant played a part in making a difference in the lifestyles and health of our staff, students, and families. Amy Malow was a driving force behind the grant procurement and implementation and we are fortunate to have her share her talents. Having such devoted families is one of the "pieces in the puzzle" that makes MCMA a special place. The grant provides curriculum for our physical education program, training for all staff, resources, and support valued over $30,000. Nearly 90 Michigan elementary schools applied and just over 20 schools received funding. More than 14,000 school children throughout Michigan in 39 schools have participated in the Building Healthy Communities initiative since 2009.

As part of a culminating event our MCMA community particpated in a "Healthy Eating Challenge". Mrs. Malow compiled a showcase of all the entries to share with our families. It can be downloaded by here.Thank you again to all our MCMA community members for participating.
