The quality, care and academic excellence that
has been provided by Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy
has led to many state-wide and national awards. Mt.
Clemens Montessori Academy has been designated
Michigan School of Excellence This honor was earned
by having a three-year average proficiency rate of
at least 90% in reading and math in the MEAP tests.
Congratulations to our recent academic contest
winners. This year we continued with our extensive
curriculum and after school activities. Proud
accomplishments include a team representing us at
the Science Olympiad and winning fifth place in the
South Macomb Competition, Students successfully won
in the following events: The Detroit Zoo’s Year
of the Frog Youth Art Competition, Mt.
Clemens Historical Commission Essay Contest, Macomb County Bar Association Law Day contest,
Macomb County Youth Art Exhibit, and Macomb County
2010 Environmental Education Calendar Drawing.

Our MEAP scores continued to increase, validating
our commitment to excellence. Our school proficiency
scores were above state levels in all subjects and
grades! For the past five years we have been rated
as a top performing charter school.

MEAP test made us the top performing district in
Macomb County, the second highest district in the
state, and the second highest charter school in the
state! Our proficiencies were well above state
averages. We are so proud of our students, staff,
and parents. Our collaborative efforts made this

Scantron Performance Series
This web-based testing provides data three times
a year to monitor student growth and progress. It
also is allowing our students to become proficient
utilizing web-based assessments. Students are
assessed as to their grade level equivalency on a
national basis.

Alumni Data
All children that have attended Mt. Clemens
Montessori have completed a high school education.
An astounding 95% of our alumni have completed
college. Even more noteworthy is that 50% of the
college graduates have continued their education in
graduate and professional schools such as Business,
Law and Medicine. Most gratifying to us is that all
students who have contacted us, whether at high
school level or graduate level, attribute their love
for learning to their early experiences at Mount
Clemens Montessori. Mount Clemens Montessori alumni
have attended universities such as Emory, Harvard, Yale,
Tufts, Tulane, University of Michigan, Michigan
State University and Wayne State University.
