Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy and its philosophy are inspired by the educational thought of Dr. Maria Montessori; the models for the classrooms and the developmental learning materials were created by her. The Academy continues her work in developmental psychology and education.

The mission of Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy is to develop students with a positive self-image who can apply critical thinking skills, communication skills, creativity, cooperation and respect for others to changing situations. The interdisciplinary environment of the Academy recognizes, develops, utilizes and challenges each student’s unique potential by addressing academic, aesthetic, emotional, physical and social needs.
"It is necessary for the teacher to guide the child without letting him feel her presence too much, so that she may never be the obstacle between the child and his experience." - Dr. Maria Montessori

Fun Run Celebration Assembly
We have surpassed our $10,000 goal. The Parent Guild Fun RUN has raised over $13,000. Thank you to all that contributed time, money, and energy to this event and fundraiser.
The "Celebration Assembly" will take place on Thursday, December 1st. This will also be a school-wide "SUPER HERO" dress day.
Ms. Angelika will be painting the faces of those who earned more than $75 in pledges. Mr. Casey will be Duct Taped to the wall by those who contributed $50 in pledges. Superhero pictures will also be taken of those who have pledged any amount to the FUN RUN fundraiser.
More details will be posted regarding the VIP Lunch for those who raised $125 in pledges and the class popcorn parties for those classrooms that have reached their goal.
